Community Services

Who We Are

The Community Services Department serves as a central hub for programs, resources, and partnerships that enhance the quality of life for residents across the city. We are responsible for citywide grants management, legislative affairs, and the administration of programs and initiatives designed to meet the evolving needs of our community.

Through strategic planning, collaboration, and stewardship of public resources, the Department supports a broad range of services, including education enrichment, senior programs and activities, health and social services, respite care, attainable housing, and transportation solutions. Our work is rooted in equity, access, and accountability, ensuring that individuals and families, particularly seniors and vulnerable populations, have the support they need to live safely, independently, and with dignity.

By partnering with community organizations, service providers, and local stakeholders, the Community Services Department advances policies and programs that strengthen neighborhoods, promote well-being, and foster a more inclusive and connected city.

What We Do

We design and deliver programs, services, and events that respond to community needs, including comprehensive offerings through the Senior Center and Adult Day Care. Our work supports active aging, caregiver respite, and meaningful community engagement to enhance the overall well-being of Deerfield Beach residents.
